Product Description

This smooth and silky coffee offers surprises of vegetable and fruit flavors. It’s slightly darker than many of our single source coffees, leaving a delicate smokiness behind as you drink it. The coffee is grown by 1000-3000 farmers in the Kirundo and Muyinga provinces of Burundi. Angele Ciza and Consolata Ndayishimiye started Kahawa Link Company (Kalico) in 2012. Their company hires coffee buyers to travel the provinces and buy coffee fruit from small farmers. It is then processed at two company owned mills. This is a big and impressive enterprise for two women in a highly patriarchal African country. We’re happy to support their endeavors.

This is our favorite coffee from Prosum Roasters. Actually, it's our favorite coffee! It is suggested that you brew it a little strong, which we have done, and we have found it to be smooth and flavorful.
